The very first and oldest existing gung fu school in America is the Hung Sing Kwoon 美國鴻勝館. Additionally, it is the first school of Choy Lee Fut est. on American soil (C. early 1920's) founded by Prof. Lau Bun, a grand student of Hung Sing Fut Gar Founder Cheung Hung Sing. The school is currently under the guidance of GM Dino Salvatera 周天龍, the 2nd inheritor of Hung Sing Kwoon USA. Sifu Frank "Jew, Hung Loong" McCarthy 周洪龍 is a senior disciple of GM Dino Salvatera. Sifu Frank has been training under GM Salvatera since the age of 14 years old. He is a 3rd/5th generation disciple of the USA/Fut San lineage and is the official historian of the Hung Sing USA lineage. In 2005, he opened his Hung Sing Kwoon 鴻勝洪龍館 in San Francisco and is one of a very few to teach Hung Sing Kuen as it was passed down by GM Salvatera.
