Rishi, age 13, is from the greater Los Angeles area. He started learning Carnatic music at age 5. His prodigious talent was identified & taken under the wings of eminent musician Sri. K.N. Shashikiran from who he learns vocal. He learns carnatic keyboard from Sri Varalaxmi, piano from Bradley Gregory & voice from Neal Harrelson
Rishiâs musical lineage can be traced back to eminent mridangist, Late Thanjavur Vaidyanathan Iyer (Guru of Palaghat Mani Iyer) on his paternal side & his uncle, violinist, Dr. Mullaivasal Chandramouli. Percussionist Dr. Rohan Krishnamurthy and Late Plght Ghatam Sundaram are closely related on maternal side
Rishiâs maiden Carnatic vocal & keyboard performance was at age 9 in the âMarghazhi Seasonâ, Chennai, India. He has since been performing in numerous live & online venues including Global Heritage, Paddathi, Arkay Convention, Giri, Gayatri Fine Arts to name a few.
He has won prizes in International Music Competitions & branch & state honors for piano
