I'm delighted to announce the successful completion of a two-day workshop on capacity building for project staff, themed "Empowering Child Rights in North East India." Organized by SATRA NGO, this event brought together 11 renowned organizations from the region, including KLM, ORS, RGVN, BITAN, NEADS, ASAA DARSHAN, WODICAEE, FBA, ACRD, IRMA, and NLF.
The workshop aimed to enhance knowledge and skills in promoting child rights, addressing community challenges, and exploring solutions. Participants shared valuable insights and experiences, focusing on grassroots-level change and education system reform. The ultimate goal was to ensure children's rights are protected, allowing them to thrive.
Key takeaways included understanding community challenges, identifying solutions, and learning from diverse work areas. The workshop emphasized the importance of empowering children and adolescents, ensuring their well-being and education.
SATRA NGO's initiative demonstrated its commitment to child rights and community development. By collaborating with regional organizations, we can create a lasting impact on the lives of children, fostering a brighter future.

Today, a landmark Awareness cum Rescue Program was held at Nyroch Village/Market in collaboration with the District Task Force (DTF) Yupia, Papum Pare District, as part of a Pan-India campaign by the National Commission for Protection of Child Rights (NCPCR) to eradicate child labor. The program marked the initiation of the campaign in according with the NCPCR's timeline.
The event innitaite with a welcome speech and introduction by the Labor Officer, followed by a comprehensive definition of child labor by the District Child Protection Officer (DCPO). The Labor Protection Officer (LPO) then elaborated on the legal actions against child labor, while the SATRA Team highlighted the ground realities of the issue and focuse domain.
A significant highlight of the program was the visit by officers to various shops, dhabas, and hotels to identify instances of child labor, tobacco products, and drugs.
This program was a pivotal moment for the SATRA Team in Arunachal Pradesh, as it demonstrated our unwavering commitment to combating child labor, child marriage , Child trafficking , Child sexual abuse and showcased our presence in the district with renewed confidence.
