Thousands of folk dances, filtered from the past, are played all over our country. Men and women, one by one, facing each other or shoulder to shoulder… With their names, music, and clothes, they all contain a story that belongs to the region. In repetitive figures, some describe natural events, some fight hand-to-hand in war, some describe love or separation, some tell about plowing, making bread, and spinning wool. Some are played by hitting the knees, heels or hands, some by turning, crouching or arm in arm… These different games not only increase our tempo, but also provide an indescribable emotional unity between us. We invite you to keep rhythm with the 7 folk dances of our 7 regions, which we have listed from east to west, from north to south.
