I read The Road Less Travelled when I was 19 and since then have been on a conscious spiritual path most of the time. No writer has changed my life as much as M. Scott Peck.
I am much more interested in human evil as a psychology before demonic evil as I believe the former is much easier to analyse and I could envisage the illness becoming officially recognised in the DSM. Whereas the issue of demonic evil is much more mysterious and may remain a spiritual subject and may never enter the field of pyschology by way of the DSM and other mental health handbooks.
Scott suspected that the illlness of human evil (although I believe the term "human evil" itself need not necessarily be the name of the condition) was neurological. And he proposed for the illness to be classed as a Narcisstic Peronsality Disorder.
If you love Scott Peck and want to read more you will enjoy and learn a lot from a couple of the links below too.
