🎄Christmas Eve Dawn: On Tuesday morning (Dec.24) about a half hour before sunrise look for the Moon pairing up with 250 light year distant Spica, the lead star in the constellation Virgo, the maiden. To the lower east of the pair, Mercury and the 550 light year distant star Antares pin down the horizon.
Tip: Using binoculars may make it easier to spot the planet/star duo in the approaching dawn.

🤩Sky Tonight: Look for the waning gibbous Moon forming an eye-catching triangle formation with the Gemini twins stars, Castor and Pollux . And trailing beneath them is orange-hued Mars!

🤩Sky Tonight (Part 1): Geminid Meteor Shower peaks tonight (Dec.13) into Saturday early morning hours. But how will the Moon impact the show?
👇 Check out my viewer's guide video from 2019 - when we had the same situation occur with the near full Moon.👇

🤩Sky Tonight: After darkness falls Thursday night look for the waxing crescent moon gliding through the faint constellation Capricornus, the sea-goat. The moon will be a great guidepost in tracking down the beautiful globular star cluster M75. The pair will just about fit within the same binocular view, but the giant cluster will really shine through small telescopes under higher magnification. It's amazing to think that little 'faint fuzzy ball' is giant collection of hundreds of thousands of stars stretching about 130 light years across and sits 67,000 light years from Earth.

🤩Sky Tonight: Moon and Saturn Combo! 🌕🪐
Tuesday, look towards the east after darkness falls for the near full moon rising together with the bright yellow star - which is in fact the famous ringed planet. Even a small telescope will show off the rings.
🤯Amazing to think that Saturn is 1.2 billion km away - so distant that light from the planet takes 72 minutes to reach your eyes!

🤩Sky Tonight: 🌗🪐Look for a pretty pairing of the Moon and Saturn rising in the east late night Wednesday. And with a small telescope look for the ice giant Neptune forming a convenient alignment between these three very different worlds.

🌝🌸Tonight is a beautiful full moon!
Known by some as the Pink Moon, so-called because April's full moon occurs at the time of the year when the pink phlox flowers begin to bloom across the Northern Hemisphere's springtime.

🤩Sky Tonight: On Tuesday night look for the near full Moon hanging out with the Gemini twin constellation's brightest stars, Castor and Pollux. The eye-catching celestial triangular formation created by these three bright objects will dominate the skies after darkness falls and throughout the overnight hours. It's amazing to ponder that Castor is 51 light years away, while Pollux is 34 light years from Earth! Incredible that it takes decades for their starlight to reach our eyes. 😲
