in the future - u will be able to do some more stuff here,,,!! like pat catgirl- i mean um yeah... for now u can only see others's posts :c
Hello, I am going to stream tomorrow (Saturday, November 18) at around 14:00 UTC.
The next step is shadows, so that's what I want to work on. If there is enough time at the end, I also want to make the shadows even smoother than the default pcf like in the attached image.
Hope to see you in the chat :D
Unfortunately I didn't have time to work on my next devlog episode, so it will still take some time.

Hi, I am going to stream on Saturday, October 7, at around 14:00 UTC.
My plan is to make the 3d renderer display different models and add some better shading. Depending on how far we'll get, I might also add the Dear ImGui library and implement model picking.
My next devlog episode is most likely going to be released next week. It's almost done, but I need to do a few more tests to ensure that the algorithm I implemented actually does what it's supposed to do. Sorry for the long wait.

Hi, my second stream is going to be on Saturday, September 9, again at around 14:00 UTC.
I want to continue writing the 3d renderer, with the next step being the transformation pipeline. So I will need to talk about and implement view and projection transformations.
If you have an idea for a better time, please let me know. I find it difficult to cover daytime for the whole globe. Though the time for this particular stream won't change.

Hello, I am now mostly done writing the script and creating the animations for my fifth devlog episode.
It's the most ambitious one so far and I have written almost 3 thousand lines of animation code.
The video will contain every important derivation that I have learned in my few years of studying this subject.
It definitely isn't an easy topic, but I was able to break it down to the equations of the linear and angular momenta of a point mass.
So if you accept that these two quantities are conserved and furthermore want to follow a bit of math, you are ready to understand 3D rigid bodies.
I hope you are just as excited as I am :D
If everything goes well, you can expect the video to be released early next week.
The attached gif is a preview of what's to come, a small animation from the beginning of the video.
Footage not final.

Hello! I am going to stream on Saturday, August 12, at around 14:00 UTC.
My plan is to start with a simple 3d renderer (like in my first devlog episode) that can be used as a base for the paper implementations in future streams.
Please let me know if you want to join.
I will try to make the stream accessible afterwards for those of you who can't join.
As for my devlog, I am working on the next episode, but I spent quite some time figuring out how to do livestreams, so hopefully I will still be able to release episode five this month.

Thank you for a thousand subs!
I am really happy you seem to like my content or at least see some value in it.
Btw I have an idea for a new series, where in each episode I implement a specific computer graphics or animation paper and explain some of the maths involved (hopefully, I am not a math wizard).
Maybe even in a live stream, so we could share ideas directly?
I would start with something on the simpler side though, to see if it even works.
For example, I had this in mind, which I found through a viewer's comment:
matthias-research.github.io/pages/publications/Mes…
What do you think about the whole idea?
If you have paper suggestions, let me know too!
But for now, please don't choose the most difficult ones you know.
