I wanted to take the opportunity to thank you for joining our growing community. I realize my videos are not "on point" yet, music may sometimes be too loud, I still find myself having trouble not feeling like a fraud when talking to the camera... In spite of all this a humbling 88 new people have joined in the last month.

This really means a lot to me, and I hope to get better at providing you content related to my approach on sustainable architecture!

Gracias totales!!

Here are the three options of the project for a multi residential building in La Hulpe Belgium which I'm describing to you in my last few videos.

Hey!

I wanted to let you see the different project options I've been talking about in my latest series of videos (about the multi residential project in La Hulpe). I think that this different medium can give you pause to correctly see what I'm talking about and follow the series without reserve. For clarity:

Option 1 is the one I was first happy with and presented to the council

Option 2 is the one I came up with upon applying some comments from that council meeting and I presented to the neighbors

Option 3 Is an iteration on 2 where the slopes of the roof are pitched in, following the recommendations of one of the neighbors so as to mitigate the impact of the volume upon the neighborhood.

Option 4 Is a double down approach where I throw caution (and the building guidelines) to the wind and I come up with a solution I believe works best for everyone involved (my client, the neighbors, the council, the plot..)

1.000 Subscribers!! Thank you all for your support! This really means a lot! In light of this I'm thinking of going live when I go through one of my designs so I can address any questions you may have in an "off the cuff" manner.
If this is something that may interest you just indicate so in the poll below and we'll figure out a time and date later if there's enough interest.

Again, gracias totales !!

This past few days I've received some of the most inspiring comments one could ever ask for!
In spite of the comments complementing the style and structure of the videos, I'm changing things a bit for the next one. But I am listening and I will come back to this format which I'm not abandoning.

You see, an opportunity has presented itself to carry you with me as I develop a project from start to finish, so the next video will be on site analysis!

I started the channel thinking that I was going to explore (at least) 5 different video types:

1. Core concepts of sustainability in architecture (which is just getting started)
2. One project from start to finish (next video will be the first of this series)
3. Interviews to other architects focused on sustainable design in other parts of the world (coming soon)
4. Project showcase (coming soon)
5. Architecture and you, practical concepts when dealing with an architecture project (coming sooner than expected)

Sorry for the delay in posting, I've been travelling and I fell sick, but will be back shortly!

We blasted past 100 subs! Thank you all for your support!
This has been a great adventure so far! It has put me back in contact with people whom I have lost track of while at the same time it is making me keep sharp on my knowledge about sustainable design as I find myself checking and rechecking everything I'm saying.
It's been great fun and I truly appreciate all your support and comments!

New video on daylight coming out shortly (by Sunday 22/09/2024).
