I'm feeling nostalgic, and looking through my comments on this channel there's a lot of "are you okay"s. I am! Thanks for your concern truly!
It's been 3 years since I announced this channel's retirement and it's still true. I left some things unaddressed though that I'd prefer to clear up just for closure's sake.
My handle most places these days is archaeocete, instagram is probably where I most actively post my art.
Not every video I've ever made is listed on this channel, but I went ahead and changed a lot of older videos from private to unlisted just in case people have them in playlists. But if your old favorite is still privated it's probably because I want to keep it to myself for one reason or another. A lot of the videos I made on here are from when i was 12-15, so you can imagine some of it might be personal (or more personal in hindsight).
Some people were reminiscing on how my animations or MAPs were part of their childhood and that's very sweet to hear. I definitely had AMVs and MAPs that I loved as a kid and still think about to this day so I'm honored to provide that for others as well. I hope the world's been kind to everyone since then. As for me, I'm graduating with a bachelor's in biology pretty soon. I do taxidermy and natural history work now, learning animal taxonomy and ecology, but art and video making remain robust hobbies of mine. Oh, and I transitioned too, I'm a man now lol.
That's my note! Lots of sentimentality tonight from me. I'm still thankful for the community I experienced here and I hope everyone stays safe.

hi everybody, ive noticed some people asking if im okay/if im gonna come back (i know i said id post something then bailed) and i think it wouldnt be fair if i just left everyone in the dark, so i suppose im here saying yeah im fine dont worry, im still drawing and animating like i always have.
thank you to the people who took the time to check in, i've realized even though i'm inactive on here there are people who like my animations and are interested in my work and that means a lot to me. i hope everyone is doing well, staying safe, doing things that make them happy right now.
as for future plans i dont really have any for this channel, not in a negative or burnt out sense, just that i've moved on to new parts of my life and im satisfied with what ive done on here. so, im going to (officially) retire this channel. im going to keep my MAP's up always and forever to feature all the animators who worked hard to make them a reality. the rest of my stuff will stay here too, don't worry.
once again, thank you everybody who's still around, and everybody who gave me confidence when i was a growing animator a few years ago. i hope my stuff keeps making people happy!
