Anniversary of Guru Padmavajra, one of the manifestations of Guru Padmasambhava.

Today, on the tenth day of the month of Veda, when the evil ministers of Odiyana tried to burn Guru Padmasambhava and his wife alive, Guru Padmasambhava turned the fire into a lake with his magical power and came out with Mandrava on a lotus. Seeing the miracle, the people of Odiana were immediately inspired by devotion and achieved salvation within a short time. He was like an ocean of dharma embodying the Buddha's words, Guru Padmasambhava came to be known as Guru Padmavajra with lotus and thunderbolts.
