I am Cecilia Rivera, a lifelong Downstate New York resident. In addition to having my own Channel on YouTube, I'm subscribed to several farm Channels here on YouTube. Well, on one those Channels of a young man from Texas, whom I complimented on his Spanish speaking skills, I said that it has improved dramatically, thanked him and ended with Muchas gracias! I corrected the young man when he responded with Muchas gracias amigo and corrected with amiga. Well, it so happened that a couple of respondents took issue that based on my username cesr559, it's a male sounding name. My username consists of my nickname Ces, R - the first letter of my last name and 559 for the month and year I was born. Since when should a YouTube member's gender have to be someone else's business!? What does my username cesr559 have to do with me being male or female!? Yes, I am a FEMALE and my name Cecilia IS a female name! YT need to address this issue of respondents questioning someone's gender.
