Mohamed Hassan is an award-winning author, poet and storyteller born in Egypt and raised in New Zealand. His poems and short films have been watched and shared widely, and taught in schools all over the world. His first collection of poems 'National Anthem' was a finalist at the NZ National Book Awards, and his new essay collection 'How to be a Bad Muslim' is out now with Penguin Random House.
