Release Day! The version 2.9.7.4 of the ML4W Dotfiles for Hyprland is now available. It is tested on Arch Linux (incl. minimal profile) and Fedora Workstation 41. The Dotfiles should work on all related distros as well. The new version includes several bug fixes, a new default theme for waybar, a new default wallpaper and a new font for kitty. You can download and install the new version from here: github.com/mylinuxforwork/dotfiles In the new video, I will show you how you can install a minimal Arch Linux profile with archinstall and on top the ML4W Dotfiles. The video release is planned for the 13th of January.

If you have problems on Arch with wallpapers and waybar not loading please check github.com/mylinuxforwork/dotfiles/issues/546 The last update of Arch includes a huge Python update that breaks existing waypaper installation. I am working already on a fix. Don't forget: You can reload waybar with SUPER + SHIFT + B

Hi FEDORA users. The version 2.9.7.0BETA is now available for testing. It supports for the first time Fedora linux in addion to Arch linux based distributions. You can find installation instructions here. github.com/mylinuxforwork/dotfiles/wiki/Installati… Please share your findings as an issue on GitHub. And please note: Hyprland in the latest version has issues with Virtual Machines. Please downgrade manually to 0.45.0 if you like to test in a VM.

Hi all. I invested the whole day to port the sidebar and the calendar widget from ags v1 to ags v2. And I must say, that was a lot of fun. That's why I will launch 2.9.6.7 with agdv2 support to be future ready for upcoming changes. The launch date is tomorrow or Tuesday. Thank you for your patience. And after this release all Fedora users can get ready for 2.9.7 ;-)

Hi all. As you probably know, the ML4W sidebar is based on Aylur's GTK Shell (AGS). The developer has decided to change the code base completely with the release of v2 with the side effect that v1 applications aren’t working anymore. The migration of the sidebar to v2 requires a new development from scratch. For now I will replace the Sidebar with the ML4W Welcome app with 2.9.6.8 to be released tomorrow.
