in the future - u will be able to do some more stuff here,,,!! like pat catgirl- i mean um yeah... for now u can only see others's posts :c
I cannot believe it's been 9 whole months since I last posted a video!
Many reasons for this, mostly due to my health (or lack of).
Additionally i joined Girlguiding in October as a Unit Helper at the local Rainbows group, for girls aged 4-7.
While this has been a fantastically rewarding experience it has also swallowed up a great deal of my free time. While only 1:30-2:00 hours are spent in unit per week, there is a lot that goes on behind the scenes, such as district and unit meetings, loooooaaaadds of training, preparing for the next session, social media updates etc etc and this takes it's toll on both my time and my energy - my fibromyalgia loves to punish me for the time i spend at guiding!
Guidiing has become something I am extremely passionate about, I love making the girls realise how damned awesome they are, through building their confidence and elevating their fun.
It's meant that I have not been camping since early September 23, and longer since I last filmed content for YT. I still really enjoy camping and hiking and I really miss it (as does Dave!) but Guiding, combined with some serious fibro-flares last year meant that camping and the channel had to take a back seat for a while.
I am planning to get back to the moors soon, as well as a new permission camp spot that i've acquired very close to home. I', also really looking forward to returning to the channel and producing some fun & interesting content for your eyeballs to consume. Take care and watch this space!

I've created a new Spotify playlist that I'd love to share with you all.
This is my "Go...Camping" playlist that I had a lot of fun with at camp during sunrise. If you were nearby you may have seen my dancing (awfully) and singing (dreadfully) along to some of these great songs such as House of the Rising Sun by The Animals and On The Road Again by Willie Nelson!
I've also added a couple new songs to my "2023 Music to Hike to! 🥾⛰️" playlist, perfect for enjoying a hike in the glorious weather we've been treated to lately!

I really hope you enjoy these playlists, let me know what you think?

Do you enjoy music while out hiking? I do, particularly on the return journey back to the car.
I've put together a Spotify Playlist that contains some of the music i find motivates me the most along the journey - not necessarily ,my favourite songs, but all have the right beat to get my feet moving.
If you're interest, the link is below, and if you have some suggestions for songs I might like to add please let me know.
I'm going to start building out a few of these, one for each of the last three years i've been enjoying the great outdoors, so I might share them too!

12:00 today a new video with a bit of a departure from my usual content.
I wanted to address why I used a VoiceOver in my recent video "Hiking the West Okement River & Through Black-a-Tor Copse" https://youtu.be/d50QNpqeAtQ
I've been asked a couple times in private messages and finally once this morning in the comments of the video, so figured a little explainer will help to clarify why I used the VoiceOver then, and why I may feel the need to use them again in future videos. To be clear though, I don't want to, I don't like them so I'll keep that to a minimum! Promise.

A guy and his dog out on a mission to finally enjoy the great outdoors after ignoring it all his life.
I am here to show you the joys, trials and tribulations of enjoying life in a tent, on a trail and (one day soon) in the mountains.
My goal here is to document my journey and to inspire others to lace up their boots and get outside too.
If I can, so can you!
This channel will show you solo and group wild camping on the moors, in woodlands, by rivers and more.
Future plans include mountain hikes, car camping, hammock camping and if i'm ever brave enough, bivvy camping!
Follow along as I determine the best gear for me and share my opinions with you to help you make good choices about what you really need and what you don't.
The star of the show is Dave the Dog and I am just his backup dancer!
