All my VIP CLIENTS each have a one-on-one communication channel directly with me (not my team, with me personally).

Why?

While all the science and experience that a coach provides their clients is an absolute must, communication and support is also KEY.

When it comes to selecting a coach, from a communication point of view, be sure your coach is:

1️⃣ An Active Listener
No good having a coach that doesn’t listen to your personal requirements

2️⃣ Has empathy and understanding (with a side of ‘hardened up buttercup’ when required)

3️⃣ Effective Questioning.
You may not know what’s wrong at times, so a coach needs to know what questions to ask to in turn effectively help

4️⃣ Clear Communicator
Prescriptions and direction need to be presented and delivered with clear and understandable methods

5️⃣ Feedback
Your coach needs to be able to give clear, specific, and honest feedback, but not judgmental nor overly negative.

6️⃣ Goal Setting Help
Is your coach working with you on indivdual goal setting? While you might have an idea of what you want to achieve, your coach should first work with you to develop your main goal at the start of working together, but then be breaking down monthly, weekly, and in some cases even daily goals with you.

7️⃣ Checking In
While it’s not your coache’s job to chase you down for check-ins, someone who reaches out when you have gone radio silent is a coach who actually cares.

8️⃣ Responsive
What’s the point in having a coach if it takes days to respond to your questions. While timezones need to be factored in specific questions (not just chit chat), should be answered within 24hours.

For these reasons above, a good coach will only have a strict limited number of clients at one time to be able to properly provide the level of care that each client requires.

If you’re a guy over 35 and have come to the realisation that you need a coach to get you to your goals in the most effective manner possible - hit the link in my bio and let’s find out if I’m the right coach for you.

Exhibit Ownership + Exercise Discipline + Embrace Discomfort = Growth 💪

This is the success equation. There is no way around this. Skip or try and avoid one part of the formula and you’ll either fall short on your goals, or your ‘results’ will be short lived.

We live in a soft society that tries to avoid discomfort and find short cuts. And while yes 100% there is smarter and more intelligent ways of doing things, those smarter and more intelligent ways still require the day-in-day-out application of the above success equation.

The sooner you embrace this approach to everything (including your body transformation) the sooner you will be living your results (that’s the only ‘fast’ way to what you want).

Reasons you’re struggling to get in shape after 40, despite the fact you feel like you’re really trying..

▪️You’re training the same way as you did in your twenties. This will not work for you now! In fact training the same way you did ‘back in the day’ will have you eventually regressing instead of progressing.

▪️You think nutrition is just about calories in Vs calories out and hitting some macros. Yes, while that has to be in place, now past the age of 40, it also matters big time what you make those calories up of. The types of foods you eat matters!

▪️You have no awareness of your own hormone levels and have no lifestyle factors in place to help support them. Key hormones are decreasing every year as you age. Having no lifestyle plan around this is just living a slow death.

▪️Your nervous system health is already shot or decreasing. With an ageing nervous system your muscles will struggle to contract efficiently, resulting in less weight being able to be lifted, resulting in atrophy overtime (muscle wastage).

▪️Your gut health is now paying the price of your pervious poor lifestyle choices. A unhealthy gut will struggle to uptake nutrients properly and will effect how your digestive system breaks down, and even how your body stores energy from your food.

▪️Your balance between cortisol and recovery capabilities is out. While we need levels of cortisol for inducing growth processes from our training. These are often way too high in comparison to our decreased recovery capabilities.

Guys past the age of 40 are regressing mainly because they do not understand what’s happening to their body as the years pass. BUT have these things addressed and accounted for and you can give ageing the middle finger and produce a physique that would make your twenty year old self jealous.

Each year that passes, now that I’m past 40, I’m still able to progress. And currently to date I’ve personally coached over 3000 other middle aged men to do the same through our methods.

For a full breakdown on what you exactly need to be aware of when getting in shape as a middle-aged guy check out the section on my website ‘What You Need To Know’

Would your first pick be a cook who worked at a public school cafeteria to teach you fine dining chef techniques?.. No.

Would your first pick be a 1st year law student to help fight a stacked law suit against you?… of course not!

Given the chance you would call on the knowledge and experience of a Michelin Star chef, or a highly regarded and reputable lawyer, right!

Then have the same standards and demand the same high caliber from the health professional/coach you choose to use.

Unless you’re happy to be an ‘experiment’ or a ‘learning experience’ (for the coach’s benefit) ensure that they have taken other clients (similar to yourself) to where you want to be. And absolutely ensure that they practice what they preach themselves.

Put it this way; if you went to Amazon Jungle and employee the services of a guide who had never been there before, there’s a huge probability that you’re going to end up lost and in a world of trouble.

Pick a guide (coach), who has gotten people (clients) successfully and safely through the Amazon (through a transformation journey) many many times before.

Or risk getting eaten by an anaconda or something like that 🐍🐆🐊

It’s around this time of year that I’m reminded why I hold a health and fitness as a top priority in my life.

This in no way comes from a place of ego, but rather a place where I feel sorry for so many middle-aged guys that I see, who I meet, and who message me who are frustrated, embarrassed, and suffering an lowering level of confidence - because there physique and body is ‘slipping away’.

“I just want to take my shirt off in public and feel confident and proud”

“I can’t remember the last time my wife bite her bottom lip when looking at me”

“I want my kids to look at me and think I’m a super hero”

These are literally (plus many many more) the messages I get daily from guys reaching out to me for help.

You know what breaks my heart most. These aren’t lazy guys. These guys are training, trying to ‘eat right’, trying with what they think is right.

Here’s the thing guys..

THE GAME HAS CHANGED!

What worked for you in your 20’s WILL NOT work for you now. It will in fact eventually regress you.

▪️I do not train like I used to when I was in my 20’s. Now that I’m 42 my training is different and far more intelligent

▪️My nutrition is different. I not only eat to hit appropriate caloric and macro requirements but I eat to support critical age related physiological functions to have them working on my side

▪️My recovery protocols are different

▪️Optimising my nervous system, hormone health, gut health - all factored into my health and fitness approach.

And this is what I do for every single one my coaching clients as well.

Just following some training program and a calorie and macro calculator will not work for you now. You might slow regression doing that, but forget about achieving epic results.

Yes, there is more to factor in and consider being over 40 if you want to achieve and maintain epic results.

Is it worth it?…

You’re dam right it is!!

If you’re a guy over 35 and can relate to any of the above, flick me a DM and let’s have a chat.

16 weeks of one-on-one coaching with me could be just what you need to turn you’re entire life around 💪
