Great day 1 at the The Media Production & Technology Show - VFX breakdowns from Fast & Furious movies, video editing lessons, motion capture, live Green Screen keying demos, how the History Network use AI to enhance not replace their work, AI in generation in video production, and lights, camera and audio gear! Looking forward to day 2.

Was great to get a hands on look at the ARRI Alexa 35. This is an industry leading cinema camera that a lot of your favourite movies are filmed on.

The Go Pro Hero 10. This in my opinion is the best vlogging camera you can buy at the moment. If you film with a high bit rate and shot on the linear or narrow focal length the footage looks fantastic, and you can nearly tell it was filmed on the Go Pro, especially in good light.

With the advance HyperSmooth 4.0 video stabilisation it’s almost like filming on a gimbal. Of course it’s waterproof to 33 feet and is built tough to take the harsh conditions of extreme sports. I personally use my Go Pro to Vlog my Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu training as well as a walking channel just filming locations around London and the world in all weather conditions including the rain.

This makes the camera more flexible and with the small footprint you can carry it anywhere. Places you’re Sony A7S III or Red camera can’t go and in conditions they can’t film.

The cons of this camera is the battery life, being a small camera doesn’t last as long when filming in 4K. The camera does overheat a lot. I tend to film for many hours with my Go Pro so this has been an issue for me. Also this isn’t a camera that will perform in low light such as the Sony FX6 or A7S III as it of course doesn’t have a big sensor.
