The Hollywood Theatre is a not-for-profit organization whose mission is to entertain, inspire, educate and connect the community through the art of film, while preserving a historic Portland landmark.
Each year we screen more than 400 of the best films from all over the world. We also provide educational opportunities for more than 2,000 young people and support multiple Oregon-based, independent film projects through fiscal sponsorship. The Hollywood has been honored by both the Sundance Institute and the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences for contributions to the film community.
The Hollywood Theatre bears witness to the potential for film to change lives. It’s happening here every day, when the lights dim. May it continue for generations to come!
