I did not expect to wake up this morning and see @AceAttorneyOfficial try their hand at an Ace Attorney retrospect(ive). If I was gonna get competition from anyone, it might as well come straight from the source 🙃
(AAR Part 2 coming later this year!)

I wanted to thank everyone who watched my first video in 4 years, especially anyone unfamiliar with Ace Attorney. The video was a birthday gift to myself and even though it took a lot out of me to finish, I like what I put together :) A good friend was inspired by my video and surprised me with a delicious birthday cake.
The next part(s) of this retrospective are smaller in scope so making them will not be as difficult as this one. I’ve already started writing Part 2 and I wrote most of Part 3 a few years ago. See you later this year!

Introducing my new video series, The Ace Attorney Retrospective. The history of my favorite video game franchise, one entry at a time. I've been wanting to do this for most of my life, so I hope you'll join me! It's designed for anyone to enjoy, newcomers and veterans alike.
The first part premieres on June 22nd, 2024 - my birthday :) I'll see you then!

Does anyone read these? I'm sure a singular person will come across this on their feed, so this update is for them :)
Hey there! Been a long time. I imagine you probably don't even remember subscribing to this YouTube channel. I used to talk about actors and old wizard-boy video games. Once I finished doing the second of those things, I couldn't figure out what to do next. Actually no, that's not true - I *did* have an idea, but it was so ambitious I didn't think I'd ever be able to pull it off.
Today - almost four years after first conjuring up this ambitious idea - I finished recording the necessary audio for this video. Once this little update is posted, I'm going to spend the rest of my evening editing. In other words, it's really happening. The smallest creator on your subscription feed is coming back! No telling what you'll think of this new direction for my channel but I hope you'll give it a try - I've wanted to make something like this since I was 13 years old and I finally have the tools and the talent to bring it to life. I hope you look forward to it!
Come back here in a month, I'll tell you what the video's about 😉 Until then!

Hey everyone! Let's talk about Harry Potter on Game Boy.
If you're just looking for a cold confirmation if the Prisoner of Azkaban review is still happening, I'll give it to you here: Yes, it is! It's coming soonish. If that's all you're looking for, I hope you look forward to its release. But if you're still wondering WHY it's taking so long, keep reading:
One of the reasons I'm ending the Harry Potter on Game Boy series (and I AM ending it after Prisoner of Azkaban) is because it has a specific format that is, paradoxically, difficult to PLAN but enjoyable to MAKE. The live-action segments for the videos are filmed in my childhood bedroom, at the desk I occupied throughout middle and high school. Previously, I lived in that room and was able to film those segments whenever I needed - but not too long ago, I moved 300 miles away from that room, so I needed a reason to visit and film those segments. And then, over the summer, I got a full-time job, alongside a SECOND job over the weekends that exhausted me. In addition to THAT, my personal life turned into a living nightmare (it was a whole thing, I'll tell you about it sometime) and it consumed the rest of my spare time. I had to put my entire YouTube thing on hold because of my clown fiesta of a schedule.
BUT. It's over now. I am good now. I am also going home for Thanksgiving, and I will film the live-action segments of HPGBA3 then. No release date, for the final video but... soon. As soon as I can. I'm ready to move on from this. I'll keep you updated on Twitter (@MrMaxMarriner).
I think about making videos every day, and I know a good group of people really want to see this video in particular, which is such a surreal and humbling experience. Though this little series is ending, I'm pretty sure I'll tackle more Harry Potter games in the future. However, I need some time to figure out a proper structure that still carries elements of the HPGB series while also being easier to film and separate enough so the original line of videos retains an identity of its own. I'll figure something out, I just need time to think.
ANYWAY. It's been too long since I uploaded anything, and that will change in the coming weeks. See you soon.

Hi everyone! Here's a little Harry Potter on Game Boy update for ya:
Today, June 3rd, 2019, is the 15th anniversary of Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban's release, and for the last year-and-a-half I had planned "Harry Potter on Game Boy" would conclude today with the cult-favorite GBA RPG. But... that ain't happening. Instead I'm still working on the penultimate episode about Chamber of Secrets Advance, which might have become a bigger monster than I thought 😬
HOWEVER! I'm putting all the pieces together and getting it out as soon as I can - I won't make any promises, but I REALLY want this out before E3 so I can enjoy the press conferences (and start writing my next video 😉). Either way, it's coming out as soon as I can get it out - as long as it's taking, I'm pretty proud of what I got, and I can't wait for you guys to see it.
As for HPGBA3... I don't know when that'll be out. I live about six hours away from the desk where I film these videos, and I don't have the time or money to travel back solely to film the final installment of this little series. I'll definitely figure something out before the end of the summer.
Anyway, hang tight while I get this thing done. Thanks for your patience, everyone!
