🎵 Wicked Whispers Announcement 🎵
Hey Fantoms!
We’re thrilled to share that the last two fully remastered tracks from our current lineup will drop today! These releases mark a huge milestone for us as we’ve worked tirelessly to breathe new life into our catalog. However, we still have one or two tracks per album left in the remastering queue, and they’ve proven a bit tricky to perfect.
Here’s the situation:
If we can’t fully remaster these remaining tracks, we’ll have to choose between two options:
1️⃣ Pull the tracks down and add them to the Summerween re-record stack. From there, it’ll be up to our artists to either reimagine the songs entirely or record fresh versions.
2️⃣ Enhance the tracks as is by fine-tuning the sound quality and screening out any remaining imperfections before releasing them.
I had initially planned to turn this into a podcast, but time just isn’t on my side right now—so instead, you’re getting the blog treatment! 😉
With Florida experiencing rare and unexpected snowstorms (yes, 8+ inches of heavy snow!), it’s caused chaos for both our label and parent company, who are based there. Since snow is almost unheard of in Florida, it led to major delays as we waited for a response from them. To keep things moving, we quickly convened, hashed everything out, and they gave me full control over how to tackle the challenges ahead.
Our primary goal remains the same: to fast-track the remastering process, perfecting our existing catalog (some tracks are officially 3 years old now!), and pulling out any songs that are beyond saving so they can be re-recorded. This explains the "remastering carpet bombing" you’ve witnessed over the past month.
Since we don’t own the studio, time is money—and other artists also need the space to remaster their tracks. On top of that, with the technical challenges of remastering previously released albums, we’re pushing to ensure everything is ready to roll with our distributor. That way, if we have to temporarily take down an album, it’ll only be offline for about 1 ½ weeks max.
The Wicked Whispers team and I will be in the studio today, making the tough calls on which path to take. If we decide to pull tracks down for a full rework, we’ll replace them with tracks from either:
Wicked Beats - Volume V, which is fully remastered and ready for its early YouTube release, or
Wicked Beats - Volume VI, which is also fully remastered but not quite complete.
Stay tuned for updates as we hash this out. Either way, we’re committed to delivering the best version of our horror-rock sound, whether that means perfection now or reinvention later.

FYI: The Remastering Journey of Wicked Whispers 🎵
Hey fantoms! We wanted to give you a quick update on the remastering process of Wicked Whispers' music. The tracks currently being remastered are over 2 years old, dating back to when we were known as Eerie Effects, before our current record label, Fox Fire Records, and parent company, FLOCO, got involved. As part of FLOCO's acquisition, all tracks from Wicked Whispers (formerly Eerie Effects) and other music properties in the Fox Fire Records (formerly Monkey Paw Music) catalog are being remastered.
Given the significant space Wicked Whispers occupies in the Fox Fire Records music catalog, our parent company fast-tracked our music first. This way, we'll be fully refreshed and ready to roll into Summerween on June 1st, leading into the 2025 Halloween season and the release of the second FNAF film in December.
Other Fox Fire artists, like Allie Cat, will have their music remastered once all Wicked Whispers tracks are done.
For those wondering how we've managed to produce so many FNAF and Horror Rock tracks in just a few weeks, the remastering process has actually taken over three months, and the music being remastered is 2+ years old. Our dedicated teams have been working nearly 15+ hours a day to bring these classics up to Dolby-quality standards. So, while it might seem like we're conjuring up new hits out of nowhere, it's the result of hard work and dedication on an aged music catalog that has been heavily suppressed by YouTube's algorithm and the targeted marketing campaigns of competing channels looking to further suppress our reach!
We're about 86% through the remastering process and aim to wrap up all Wicked Whispers tracks by this Friday. Our goal is to have the fully remastered releases on Spotify, iTunes, and other platforms a month early.
A huge thank you to all the other Fox Fire Records artists for their patience while we take the first slot. To our fantoms, I'm working on new "Behind the Screams" podcast episodes to dive deeper into these topics. The first episode will air in mid-February, with eight episodes planned from February to June.

As promised, here’s a sneak peek at our efforts to create new animated music videos to complement our tracks. The process has been incredibly labor-intensive, and we're starting from scratch, so please bear with the rough look for now. We’re committed to refining this and aim to have something ready by October.

Update: Just finished a meeting with our label and parent company, and we have some good news! The severely corrupted tracks from the Portland sessions, damaged due to poor studio conditions, can now be shelved indefinitely. The plan is to do fresh re-recordings with the original artists.
While we aim to recreate the songs with the same tempo, sound, and lyrics, after discussing with Allie and the guys from Neon Rebel this morning, it’s clear that no guarantees can be made. A full reimagining of some tracks might even take place.
What about the gaps in our albums?
To fill these gaps, we’ll likely pull tracks from Wicked Beats - Volume 5 and 6, which haven’t been released yet. These volumes contain alternate versions of existing songs. When our artists record new tracks, they usually produce 2-3 versions. Our producers then choose the final cut, and the others are stored in our vault for potential future releases.
However, since a compilation album of these alternate versions is already in progress, pulling those tracks may not be feasible. Most of the compilation tracks didn’t suffer significant recording issues and were easily remastered.
Therefore, the most practical solution is to use songs from Wicked Beats - Volume 5 and 6 to fill the gaps.
In short, things are moving forward! I’ve been asked to cut as many FAQ episodes of the Behind the Screams podcast for Wicked Whispers to address these updates. For those craving more insider info, get ready for a double-barrel shot of data. I'll start recording today, and with the necessary editing, the first few episodes should be available by the last week of January.
Stay tuned—I'll be working with our sound team and producers to release as many remastered tracks on YouTube as possible today. The musical carpet bombing will resume shortly!

We just got approval from our label to do a full re-recording of *Afton is a Mad Man" once Neon Rebel is back in the studio.
The poor hookups at the time of recording back in April 2024 will be impossible to remove fully.
We will leave the current failed remastering attempt up for now. Once a new version has been cut, we will pull down the old version and bury it in our vault.
Given this decision, Wicked Beats, Volume 2 will now get reshuffled with a new unreleased track that was originally slated to appear on Volume 6.
That surprise track will be released tomorrow!

Today, we're opening the floodgates by resuming the re-release of several remastered tracks, aiming to clear the deck for remastering our Wicked Beats albums (Volumes I to IV) sooner rather than later. All remastered re-releases will debut exclusively on YouTube before being available elsewhere. If you haven't subscribed to our YouTube channel yet, make sure to do so for instant notifications when each re-release drops.
Once all of our content on YouTube has been replaced with remastered tracks, we will systematically take down each Wicked Beats album, remix, retool, update the content, and re-release them. According to our record label, Fox Fire Records, once an album is taken down for remastering, it will take about a week to be re-uploaded to Spotify, Apple Music, Amazon Music, iHeart Radio, Pandora, and other platforms.
After all the music has been successfully swapped out, we'll circle back to update each YouTube Short, replacing them with updated animated musical shorts.
We sincerely appreciate all our fantoms for sticking with us through this process.
