DL800 transmission surgery today (again). Installing a mechatronic that matches part number scheme with all other drivetrain electronics. No more mixing Huracan electronics with R8 electronics (even though hardware is exactly the same). Lesson learned and hopefully this does the trick!! Youā€™ll all know soon enough in my next vid. šŸ¤žšŸ™šŸ˜

Yes, Iā€™m still alive! Iā€™ve been working hard to get this project under its own power. Although not quite there yet, making good progress while changing direction on my TCU setup. The front end is nearly done and canā€™t wait to show you all! New video in production. šŸ‘

For those that missed it, PART-2 of my OEM CANBUS reverse engineering video series is available! I'm working on PART-3 now, which will be primarily focused on getting all this CAN BUS data into my MoTeC dash. I'll explain all of it in detail in PART-3!!

I just hit another major milestone with my electronics for project Top Gun! After studying CAN BUS and MoTeC software for many weeks, I finally got my dash reading telemetry from the factory ECUs. I now know why tuners get paid the big bucksā€”thereā€™s a lot of complexity and the leaning curve is steep. I plan on making a video devoted to reverse engineering CAN BUS and the process to accomplishing something like this. Thereā€™s nothing on YouTube that I could find so stay tuned for that. HAPPY NEW YEAR to all my loyal followers!! This WILL be the year we see this car on the road. šŸ˜šŸ’„šŸ‘

The build is picking up speedā€¦the front canopy is now permanently installed! It feels so good to start final assembly of the interior. Canā€™t wait to show you all in the upcoming video drop. See you soon!

Gosh, I canā€™t seem to get back in the groove with timely video posts. But I AM making progress! Given Iā€™ve never done auto upholstery work, I was dreading this job but itā€™s done! Hereā€™s a teaser pic. Itā€™s not 100% perfect, as Iā€™ll show you in the upcoming video, but Iā€™m happy with it. New vid drops this week. šŸ‘

Quick update since posting my latest video a coupe days ago. About the carbon center console: I carefully measured the template, drilled the holes and mounted the MoTeC 5-button rotary switch to its final home. Convenient location and reach from drivers seat. šŸ‘. I promise it wonā€™t be long for my next video drop. See yā€™all soon!

Iā€™ve been busy getting the pre-fit complete on the front cowl/bulkhead. I laid out and marked all the holes I need to drill before final fit up. One hole in particular requires a bit of precision: the steering shaft passthrough hole on the dash. I successfully got a great fit and couldnā€™t resist mounting up my 3D printed paddle shift base and removable steering wheel to see how it looks. Here are a few picsā€¦I had to modify the width of the paddles since my steering wheel is 25mm smaller diameter than the Huracan (from which the paddles were sourced). All of this and more in my next video!

Iā€™m putting the finishing touches on my new (shorter) carbon air box intake covers and all the footage is ā€œin the canā€. I sprayed 2K clear coat this time to achieve a mirror finish and they came out amazing. Canā€™t wait to show you all how they look on the car. And now the rear clam closes without ANY other interference nor any additional cutting requiredā€”a small miracle!

Itā€™s time to get the rear clam to close over the V10 once and for all! Here are a few pics of the very tedious processā€”steady as she goesā€¦trying to cut as little as necessary; almost there. Canā€™t wait to show you in the next video dropping this week. šŸ‘
