Teaching guitar is SO rewarding. Itā€™s a really great tired at the end of a day of instruction. There is SO SO much to learn. Have fun practicing but donā€™t be afraid to make yourself a little bit uncomfortable and try some new things.

The FM9 is awesome! This is truly a Godsend for gigging, recording, teaching, content creation or simply to get lost in it. This video looks at how Iā€™m using it to quickly and effectively optimize itā€™s versatility in all of these situations. Thanks for spending your guitar time with me. šŸŽøšŸŽ¶

My favorite types of chords! Mysterious and reflective sounding, these types of chords are really peaceful to play on a stressful dayā€¦

Jazz Chordsā€¦ not really sure if 7th chords are necessarily only ā€œjazz chordsā€, but thatā€™s how people describe them. Lol.
Hereā€™s a lesson to help to clarify what all the names mean etc. Hopefully itā€™s helpful for you !

Learning how to play thirds in a key of music, across the guitar neck ,is a really helpful thing. Try this exercise in every key running it through the circle of fifths.

One of the most useful things you can do, with rhythm playing, is learning to move the scale trough the chords.

I thought Iā€™d share this again. If you donā€™t know how to play this intro, you should learn it! The story goes that the guitar player for Kansas (I canā€™t remember which member) was at the dining table practicing classic guitar and his wife was carrying laundry and walked past and said that sounds great. You should make it into a song!!

Hey there! A late beginner student asked me how she could "jam" for friends at a party, just "make something up". I made this lesson for her and hopefully it might give you a few ideas. Cheers!! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xMjUS...

The 2 5 1 is HUGE in jazz. If you havenā€™t had a chance yet, check out this lesson to help demystify this progression. Iā€™m going to give you some pointers on how to start to navigate playing through the changes.
Iā€™d love to hear from you, tell me how your guitar playing is going!
