Have you heard "Scenic Route" yet? It's a weird song with one verse and three choruses which took me a while to figure out. As I was writing it I kept trying to write another verse, fit in some other words but it felt like I was intellectualizing something that didnāt want to be captured in words. I eventually realized, in the lostness I felt while trying to crack this nut, that this song is about being lost; being lost is how I would describe the most disorienting and difficult times in my life and also how getting lost in my present experience can be the only way out of that fog. I typically use music as my catalyst for getting lost in the now, but there are so many ways!
