Dusty environment don’t care. North east Thailand is especially dusty, although not as dusty as Laos. Remember that Dune Part Two was shot on a desert and has bagged million dollars in box office, dont let some imaginary barrier stop you from executing. 🎥

In this fashion film, I shot with two of my favorite vintage Soviet lenses: the Mir-1 37mm f2.8 "Grand Prix Brussels" and the Helios-44-2 58mm f2.
The Mir-1 lets me capture more of the surroundings, with just a touch of swirl in the background.
It’s at f2.8, so while the background isn't completely blurred, there's just enough depth to show off the environment.
It also has these cool, expressive flares that add style to each shot.
It now has smooth focusing thanks to my custom servicing, with 3D-printed follow focus gears that work seamlessly with the PDMovie LiveAir 3, adding more creative flexibility to each scene.

🎥 serviced & cinemodded vintage soviet lenses for filmmaking
I started out in photography back in 2007, focusing on fashion and commercial work. But over time, I fell in love with vintage lenses—those imperfect, soulful pieces of history. By 2020, I was fully dedicated to restoring these lenses and capturing unique, character-filled images.
When I’m not behind the camera, I’m out solo hiking and camping in Southeast Asia’s rainforests, finding peace and inspiration in nature.
Join me as I share my journey—blending the old with the new, and embracing the beauty of imperfection.
