Born in the Tsugaru region of Aomori Prefecture.
At the age of 10, he met the late pianist Akiko Miyazawa, and began commuting to Tokyo for lessons, moving to Tokyo from junior high school.
That year, they won the grand prize at the TBS Children's Music Competition East Japan Tournament.
While studying at Senzoku Gakuen University's piano department, he studied abroad for a short period in Vienna.
Held a piano duo concert with Akiko Miyazawa's fellow student Rie Igata. Studied by the late Kiyoko Tanaka.
Performed with the Kazan State Conservatory Quartet in Tatarstan. He was invited to Kazan and received an award from the Minister of Culture, Taishev.
