played this during the summer and its now my default favorite zelda game ever (yes seriously - Zelda 2 is/was my favorite Zelda of all time). It has an amazing expanded quest, doesnt feature any of the usual BS that typically accompanies fan made games (cheap deaths, poor enemy placement, etc), and uses the actual OG game executable, which means it controls/feels **identical** to the NES game.

Zelda 2 is definitely up there in terms of difficult games but i didnt think doom eternal was crazy hard, ultra nightmare was definitely easier on eternal than doom 2016 anyways. Maybe if youre playing on console with a controller yeah i could see it being bad but mnk and good twitch reflexes make it not so bad.

I appreciate these posts. I realized semi recently that even though I've always said I love the Zelda games, I genuinely haven't played too many of them. Congratulations! Zelda 2 is definitely a game that gets a lot easier once you beat it for the first time and know what you're doing.
