I’ve tried attempting to overdose a month ago, I have a drug addiction and I’m living a very hard life right now, I want to give myself 3 years to come back to this song and read my comment. I hope that in 3 years (when I’m 22) I’ll be surprised by friends with drinks. I hope life will get better. See you in 3 years. Update: 10/20/2021, it’s been one year since I commented this, though I have been dealing with so much through the year I always came back to this song and read the comment responses. You guys are the best, I never thought so many people would care about me, even strangers around the world. I no longer do drugs, I have gained so many friends over the year. I still keep coming back here for motivational support. Thank you for helping me guys. Much love! See y’all in 2 years! I’ll be here :) Update: 10/24/2022, hello everyone, I’m still here :) I come back to this song almost every other day and read all the nice responses given to me. Thank you so much, I’m doing so much better today. I work at a bank, I’m almost done with college, I’ve met so many people and gained so many friends. I wish that I could go back in time and give myself a hug, in a strange way, coming back here to read responses to my comment feels like I’m being hugged from strangers around the world. Thank you for waiting for me. See you next year. :) Final update: 03/25/2024 hey everyone! Looks like we finally made it to 3 years, sorry for the late update. I’m 23 years old now and I started working as a surveyor at SpaceX. Soon to be a civil engineer, trust me when I tell y’all I’ve been extremely busy working and finishing college… I know I said that I was finishing college on the the previous year but I dropped business school to pursue something I had a little more interest in! This year had a rough start. I had a dog who was my best friend who sadly passed away early of September last year and that’s why I didn’t update around October like I had planned, I needed some time to heal and I didn’t want to keep filling myself with sadness. Having him around reminded me I didn’t really need friends, which to update I wasn’t surprised by like I had said at the beginning… also, I don’t even drink lol. I only have like 3 friends today, but that’s okay! 3 friends is enough for me. Thank you all so much who waited for me. Thank you all so much for the love and virtual hugs. I couldn’t have made it this far if I hadn’t searched for this song and read all my responses on my bad days. Sending all of you back the biggest hug. I completed my journey to sober up and fight depressing and thoughts of suicide, it’s very much possible! If you ever feel alone or sad or feel like nobody loves you. Trust me, there is someone out there that does. I do, even if I don’t know who you are I found out that from thousands of strangers around the world could care and love and support me here consider it the same. I love you all so much. ❤
