i normally don’t like this style of music but for some reason this hits differently. i think it’s because of how raw the lyrics and song actually is. without all the added effects and stuff that other artists normally put in it’s really beautiful. i aspire to be like this <3 can’t wait to make my own music

Since you asked for symbolism let me give you my hot take on this amazing, aesthetically pleasing video. I feel like the blue house put in the middle of that lonely field represents the boy that you mention. Right as the lyric "I do know for a fact though that you're a definite coward" comes up, a shot of the house is (intentionally, most likely) put in there. A coward, and a lonely house. A coward living in a lonely house, no neighborhood in sight, shying away from the world. It seems like there's a link between the two if you ask me. There are also various shots of lemons drowning in a black liquid, this represents the lyrics "you don't make lemonade, you use them to make girls cry". Lemons are given to everyone in life, but it's up to people to decide what to do with them, for good or bad, and the boy clearly chooses to make the worst out of the situation by hurting those around him. This is shown in the different locker shots (the lockers can also represent the lives of people, each person having their own locker) where the liquid pours out of (the boy's) locker and stains some lockers around it. I think the video represents the boy's soul, his loneliness, his cowardice, how he chooses to do bad instead of good, how chaotic his mind is (which can be seen when the house is burning), and how he hurts others. That's all thank u for reading, ur video and the song are amazing and i love them. k bye <3
