Facts so many of them still on the road. Dash Cluster might be shot, windows and locks donβt work, and it might be rusted to hell but when you turn that key that engine will start everytime

I had a random misfire on my 2005 GMC Yukon and when I started to look up this issue, that's when I happily found out that this engine does not have that DOD crap. After doing extensive research on this random misfire I found out all I had to do was a crankshaft relearn with a good scanner, and the problem went away forever!

2004 Yukon Denali FTW, got 270k miles on it and the engine still run and sound great. Looking forward to see your SS Express up and running. Really peak my interest that you decide to go with the LS engine for it. Keep the video coming brother.

I've had my GMC Sierra going on 6yrs and just changed my spark plugs and coil packs last year for the first time since purchasing it. A beautiful, dependable, DIY vehicle!

With proper maintenance, these chevys are tanks when it comes to the engine. My pops had a 01 Tahoe with the 5.3 and it had k&n intake with axle back mag flows on it and a Diablo tune. He hit red line daily on that sucker and the only parts that eventually went bad was the water pump and the alternator. Tranny started slipping a bit so pops added some oijd of anti slip fix fluid and transmission stoped slipping.

My 05 suburban has 230k on it, original trans. I did a 20 quart flush and went from Dex 3 to Honda DW-1, shifts flawless. Most people don't know they're compatible and the DW-1 seems to do better. I do a drain and fill every 30k. Pulling trailers et cetera no problem, take care of it and it'll take care of you.

Alex is right, my tahoe is at 349k miles, and its still gliding, OEM 95% Of parts, minus a New alternator & belt....Thats all though...The truck is, check your fluids, and with your 1st daily startup, let it run and let it warm up for 10 mins, EVEN DURING THE SUMMER & SPRING time of year.....Keep Trucking

My '04 suburban Z71 was one of the best vehicles I've ever owned out of the 30 plus vehicles I have had. One of the best road trip vehicles ever.
I now have a 2001 GMC Sierra with the 8.1 litre gas engine and the Allison transmission as my tow rig and my long distance vehicle is a 2007 Lincoln Town Car.

Delete Dod or buy you a range. I did that to my 2018 gmc sierra and I have 160k miles on it no major issues just basic maintenance π€

I bought a 99 Silverado soon it didnt shift right . Changed the fluid filter and all the solenoids now she shift perfect . The 4l60 was known for solinoid trouble. Especially the a and b ones .
