It's a setting that is mocking and doing satire on suppressive regime's at one side. While on the other side it shows that besides the hopelessness, it shows the strength and contrast of unity in those rare circumstances. And the indomitable human spirit where all hope is lost too. When u got a Primarch that is beyond frustrated from the current state of humanity, you still know that there is awareness. While there might not be good or bad factions there are nice characters in each and everyone and others that are very brutal. Which shows also the influence of individuality and complexity of every matter. Worst thing u can do in 40k is to pick a side in all of this mess. Except the Drukhari, ofc cause nothing is right about them :D
