I dont care about metals, or elements or ancient jewelry much. But you're such a fantastic teacher. Slipping random grammar into it too? Fabulous

THANK YOU for getting out the fact about apostrophes.
IT DRIVES ME CRAZY.

Your content combines like 5 of my incredibly niche interests all in one place.

Like, etymology, grammer, history, chemistry, and "snapple fact" type info all in one place. So happy the algorithm knew you were my type of creator!!

Paktong η™½ιŠ…, in Chinese it means "White (η™½) Brass (ιŠ…)". Bronze, Brass and Copper share the word "ιŠ…" with different color name:
Bronze: ι’ιŠ… (Green one)
Brass: ι»ƒιŠ… (Yellow one)
Copper: η΄…ιŠ… / η΄«ιŠ… (Red or Purple one)

Fun fact! If you have a copper allergy, like me, you'll also have a nickel allergy AND an allergy to cheap gold because of the copper content. A SEVERE copper allergy also makes you allergic to certain foods that naturally have a high copper content AND if you use real copper cookware and utensils you can make yourself incredibly poorly and can actually be life threatening regardless of allergy severity - source, I have a very severe copper and nickel allergy

I consider myself decent with grammar, but that note about apostrophe usage is actually something I never truly understood until now. Thank you for continuing to provide us with educational content!

In 2023, I learned that surgical stainless steel has nickel in it. I always thought I was allergic to nickel, and it was confirmed when I was in the hospital with a shattered pelvis. An external fixator was put on me with stainless pins. A few weeks later, the pin sites looked like raw hamburger while my pain level reached new heights. I wonder why nickel is so irritating to me. Anyway, great content, and I love your channel!

Dude is a next level communicator. I’d listen to him explain why peanuts aren’t actually nuts, just because he would make it super interesting.

I can't explain how much I love these videos. Grammar and metallurgy in the form of a quickly edited info dump is amazing.

My grandmother willed me her nickel silver cutlery set when she passed. I have such fond memories of it. "Bring out the Jeff!" she would shout anytime Pastor Wilfred would stop by for dinner. Funny enough, that's how we learned the good pastor had a seafood allergy. At first we thought he was allergic to the Jeff cutlery, but we swapped them for the lead spoons and forks us kids would use, but his throat kept closing up. Doc Stevenson hurried over and finished the pastor's portion of shrimp before putting a tube in his throat on the dining room floor. Ahh... good memories are such a comfort in these trying times.
