i feel this an honest review i remember the "Apollo"was the signature interface and engineers now tend to gravitate to the latest and newest interface. Prob influenced by other companies $$$

RME is the answer, everything can be routed anywhere, rock solid on windows and Mac, no proprietary connections like thunderbolt, insanely low latency, amazing conversion, tonnes and tonnes of features. Tonnes of IO (especially if you get the UFX where you can have access to madi)

I agree! Apollo 6x with a profire2626 connected for extra inputs and outputs. External neve preamp so I don't need those either lol...

I know all the cool kids use Apollos but I'm upvoting the RME 👍 Preamps are pristine, incredibly low noise floor, drivers are rock-solid, super expandable with optical in/out. AND dual headphone outputs on the £700 Babyface vs the £1500 Apollo X4. My flatmate has an Apollo and I still prefer the simplicity and reliability of the RME
