That looks like a Carpet Python. If it is they are native to the rain forest in Australia, which means that someone let it go. They don't get much bigger than what you see here. Very colorful and attractive snake species.

Ugh I really hope he escaped and he isn’t a dumped pet. Too many people get animals, realize they’re not equipped to handle them and just “release” them. Most of the time you’re dooming that animal. The ones that do survive can become problematic, breed and wind up infesting areas and then people start killing the next generations. Please if you can’t take care of a pet, find someone who can. There will always be someone who is willing to give that animal a loving home. I hope this gorgeous snake finds its way into a wonderful forever home.

Oh no, a pet! I'll bet their owner is DEVASTATED. Hopefully you found the owner? (of course, some people release them purposely so... maybe not.) Well I hope he found a good home. What a beautiful animal!

Such a beauty! Shame that he's outside like that if he's a pet. But now he's hopefully going to be okay.

I hate that people just release their pets into the wild like that, a lot of times they dont survive because theyre used to having their meals handed to them and are free from predators
