We paradox of man. We want to be individual but part of a group. We want to be normal but somehow different. We want to have it all but need only bread, water, and shelter.

Nietzsche: "The surest way to corrupt a youth is to teach him to esteem more highly those who think alike than those who think differently." (paraphrased a bit)

Overcoming Neurosis: Insights from Carl Jung COMMENT ✍️:
This video was very insightful and resonated with me deeply. I have struggled with neurosis for a long time, and I can see how it stems from avoiding the challenges and problems that life presents me. I have often chosen the path of least resistance, conforming to the expectations of others and society, rather than following my own inner voice and pursuing my true passions. I have also neglected the development of my personality, suppressing the aspects of myself that did not fit the norm or that I feared would be rejected or ridiculed. As a result, I have felt anxious, depressed, guilty, and dissatisfied with my life.

I appreciate how Jung offers a way out of this predicament, by encouraging us to face our problems head-on, to embrace our individuality, and to seek a balance between our conscious and unconscious selves. I agree that this is the only way to achieve psychological health and happiness, and to fulfill our potential as human beings. I also like how he emphasizes the importance of creativity, spirituality, and meaning in overcoming neurosis. These are the things that give life its depth and richness, and that connect us to something greater than ourselves.

I think this video and article are very relevant and helpful for anyone who suffers from neurosis, or who feels dissatisfied with the dominant way of life in our society. I think we need more people like Jung, who challenge us to think for ourselves, to question the status quo, and to explore the mysteries of our own psyche. Thank you for sharing this valuable content, and for inspiring me to embark on my own journey of self-discovery and healing.

But that’s most people, people would rather join groups instead of facing isolation and loneliness. I mean can you blame them? It takes strength to face individualism. Especially if you want to accomplish your goals or work on improving yourself before you invite someone in your world.

I'm a subscriber, so I will check out the video. What I loved here was the ART reproductions. Some of my favorite artists! Jung was my hero, and then I learned some Tibetan Buddhism. It's become quite tricky! 😊

I heard that when boys reach a certain age they want to differentiate themselves from their parents. I remember when I was 16 I wanted to change my first name because i was name after my dad, but my dad for some reason hated it he for some reason was offended i wanted to change my name. I just wanted to be my own person :(

Nowadays even those who opt to escape the hell of excessive normalcy often only do so by incorporating some alternative NPC behavior, such as becoming an alphabet ally.

True, but I think they'll never understand that they made me sick, with my conformity. Yes, deadly ill, in more ways then one. The abyss stared into me and in hell I found hope, of something they'll never understand. So like a little devil I must pass them by, into the infinity of creativity.
