You always hear us say it... animal integration is crucial in naturally rebuilding and maintaining healthy soil systems. But do you know why? Regenerative Rancher Gabe Brown has a few answers for you.
š "Animals grazing and living plants are a part of the carbon cycle. Here in the northern planes, our soils were formed by large herds of bison and elk, being moved by predators, grazing the landscape, trampling that carbon and the plants (onto) the soil's surface - then not coming back for maybe a year, allowing full recovery."
š As we discussed with @applegate earlier this week, animals are naturally an integral part of the way our crops and soil thrive - the only problem is that the masses are not integrating them correctly. What would happen if more farmers had access to the knowledge that Gabe has on animals' natural role in our earth's carbon cycle? Let us know what you think in the comments below š
Click the link in our bio to learn about all the different pathways to ways to RE:CONNECT with the soil this holiday season to ensure we can integrate animals into agriculture the right way and that we can regenerate our soil (and ultimately our earth). š
A new view has emerged where people are reverent of our interconnectedness with nature; Humanity is living regeneratively and our planet is restored, balanced, and abundant.
