i installed native windows on arm and android as dualboot on my xiaomi pad 5 and use it as a cheap laptop replacement
the battery backup is also way better than on any x86 laptop
the performance is fine for everyday tasks and some light gaming
the only 2 things that they didn't manage to fix is fast charging and camera (which will probably never work)

Windows 7 starter edition uses less than 1 Gig of ram and typically runs a little better than most versions of XP. PE OS's should work pretty stable
