More information about him and his case as well as vicitims.

Hamilton Howard "Albert" Fish born may 19 1870 and died by execution on January 16th 1936.

He was a serial killer known by many different names.

He was a child rapist and Cannibal.
He was boasting about how he had "a child of every state" and that he had over a 100 kids, Wich we don't know if he meant with Cannibalism or on the rapes. We also don't know if that statement is actually true or not.

Eat we do know is that he was under suspicion of atleast murdering 5 people in his life time. He confesses to 3 murders and later told he also stabbed 2 other persons.

He was due to appear in court in connection with the kidnapping and murder of Grace Budd. He was found guilty and executed by electric chair.

Fish's family had a history of mental illness. His uncle suffered from mania. One of his brothers was admitted to a psychiatric hospital. His sister had also been diagnosed with a "mental illness". Three other family members had been diagnosed with mental illnesses and his mother had "auditory and/or visual hallucinations".

By 1880, his mother had gotten a job and could afford to take Fish out of the orphanage.

when he was twelve he started hanging out with a telegraph delivery man. This introduced Fish to practices such as urolagnia (drinking urine) and coprophagia (eating feces). He also started going to bathhouses regularly to watch boys changing clothes.

Fish arrived in New York around 1890, where he became a prostitute and began raping young boys. In 1898 he was married off by his mother to a woman nine years younger then him.

In 1898 he worked as a house painter. He continued to harass children, especially boys under the age of 6. After visiting a wax museum where he saw a severed penis, he became obsessed with sexual mutilation. In 1903 he was arrested for theft and sentenced to imprisonment.

Around 1910, Fish met nineteen-year-old Thomas Kedden. He took Kedden to his quarters and started a sadomasochistic relationship with him there it is unclear if Fish forced Kedden to do so. In his statement, Fish hinted that Kedden had a mental disability. After ten days, Fish took Kedden to an "old farmhouse" where he began to torture him. This took two weeks. Fish eventually tied up Kedden and cut off half of his penis. "I will never forget his scream nor the look he gave me," he later said in a statement. at first he had thought of killing Kedden, but he was afraid that the hot weather would make him stand out. he poured peroxide over the wound and tied it in a handkerchief, left 10 bucks, kissed Kedden goodbye and ran off. "I took the first train home. I never found out what happened to him and never tried to."

In January 1917, Fish's wife left him for another. Fish then had to raise his children alone. Fish later said his ex-wife took everything he owned. He started having auditory hallucinations. At one point he rolled himself up in a carpet, because he was supposedly instructed to do so by the apostle John (Johannes).

Around that time, Fish began to self-mutilate. He stuck needles in his crotch and abdomen. After his arrest, X-rays revealed that Fish had at least 29 needles in his pelvic region. He also beat himself repeatedly with a spiked paddle and inserted wool soaked in lighter fuel into his anus and set it on fire. Although it is believed that he never physically assaulted his children, he did encourage them and their friends to hit his buttocks with the aforementioned paddle. He soon developed an obsession with cannibalism, which manifested itself in, for example, eating a dinner consisting solely of raw meat; sometimes he also served this to his children.

Sometime in 1919, he stabbed a mentally handicapped boy. Fish often chose mentally disabled or African-American victims, saying he believed they wouldn't be missed if he killed them. Fish abused, mutilated and killed young children with his "tools from Hell": a meat cleaver, a butcher's knife and a small handsaw.

In 1924, the now 54 years old. who suffered from psychosis, that God commanded him to torture and sexually mutilate children.

Fish tried his "tools from Hell" on Cyril Quinn, a boy he sexually assaulted. Quinn and his friend were playing outside when Fish came by and asked if they'd had lunch yet. He then invited them to his house for sandwiches. As the boys wrestled on Fish's bed, the mattress shifted; beneath that lay a knife, a small handsaw, and a meat cleaver. They were so shocked by the sight that they fled from the apartment.

Fish was arrested in May 1930 for "sending an obscene letter to a woman who had responded to an ad for a cleaner." After this and a subsequent arrest in 1931, Fish was sent to Bellevue Mental Hospital for observation.

On May 28, 1928, Fish, then 58 years old, went to visit the Budd family in Manhattan. He said he would hire Edward, but later admitted that he planned to tie him up, mutilate him and leave him to bleed out. He introduced himself as Frank Howard, a farmer from Farmingdale, NY. Fish promised to take Budd and his friend Willie and have them picked up a few days later. He did not show up, but sent a message apologizing to the Budd family and saying he would be late. When he returned, Fish met Grace Budd. It was then that he decided to pick another victim and go after Grace. He made up an excuse to go to a cousin's birthday party. He managed to convince Grace's parents to let her go to the party that night. Grace left with Fish later that day and was never seen again.
November 1934, the missing girl's parents received an anonymous letter that eventually led the police to Fish.

The police investigated the letter. some part were incorrect but the part about Grace Budd's murder turned out to be accurate in describing the abduction and subsequent events, although it was not possible to determine with certainty that Fish actually had parts of Grace's body eaten.

Fish did not deny Grace Budd's murder and said he had gone to the house with the intention of killing Edward Budd, Grace's brother. Fish said it "never even crossed his mind" to rape the girl, but later told his lawyer he had two involuntary ejaculations while crouching on Grace's chest to strangle her. This information was later used in the lawsuit to claim that Fish had kidnapped the girl with the intention of having sex to evade cannibalism.

The trial against Fish for the murder of Grace Budd began on March 11, 1935 in White Plains, NY. The case lasted 10 days. Fish wanted to be declared insanity and claimed to have heard voices telling him to kill the children.

Several psychiatrists testified to Fish's sexual fetishes, including sadism, masochism, cunnilingus, anilingus, fellatio, flogging, exhibitionism, voyeurism, piquerism, cannibalism, coprophagia, urolagnia, pedophilia, and infibulation.

During the trial, a witness was called by the defense who explained Fish's obsession with religion, and in particular the story of Abraham and Isaac (Genesis 22:1–24). Fish believed that, as in the story, he had to "sacrifice" a boy in expiation for his own actions and that angels would stop this if God did not approve. Although he knew Grace was a girl, it is suspected that Fish saw her as a boy.

All jurors agreed that Fish was insane (insanity), but they felt he should be executed anyway.

He was therefore found accountable and guilty and the judge imposed the death penalty. Fish entered prison in March 1935 and was executed in the electric chair at Sing Sing on January 16, 1936. He entered the room at 11:06 PM and was pronounced dead three minutes later. His last words were reportedly, "I don't even know why I'm here."
