There's a difference between glamorizing and talking about it. The fact that you openly share your struggles is so commendable, because it makes the rest of us feel like we're not alone and- let's face it -trauma makes for some great music. Don't listen to the haters; what you're doing for the scene and for mental health is amazing!

As an AuDHD person with CPTSD & a self harm habit that lasted from age 14 to adulthood, yes, we all need to talk about it.
Ironically by making these songs, you show us that in this cruel world, there are still constructive ways to heal & people that truly care.
Thank you, Evan. Please take good care of yourself. Never give up on healing. It's possible. Otherwise I wouldn't be writing this.
EMDR is such an effective tool, btw! Real talk, highly reccommend to you & anyone on here. It literally helps heal the injuries in one's brain that were caused by trauma.
You deserve to heal, brother, so keep channeling your feelings through music & being genuinely you. This world needs you & your beautiful heart. Please know that you are loved & appreciated more than you will ever know!
Sincerely, a millenial that made it through teenagehood & young adult life with the help of MCR. Now I have the privilege to keep facing life's difficulties with your music as catharsis.
Thank you. 💖

so real, S/H shouldn’t be ignored, just because some people call S/H disgusting or blames the people who do it, it doesn’t mean it shouldn’t be talked about, it is NEVER the person who does S/H’s fault. they are not the ones to blame for the way they cope, even if it’s an unhealthy coping mechanism, people get better, but to get better you have to phase the possibilities of relapse..and people who say “men can’t cry” oh yes they can. we’ve always fought for gender equality when it comes to women (which i understand) but hey, if we can be equal about women and jobs, why not get equal about men also being able to cry? men aren’t emotionless just because they may be stronger in some ways women aren’t. we all deserve to let out our feelings, if you have trauma, was S@‘d, @bus3d, or anything else including using some kind of bad coping strategies, it is NOT your fault and you are not the one to blame for your coping mechanisms❤ i promise you that it is never yourself to blame in some situations, mental health matters in any form, shape, body, gender, appearance or behaviour. - Levi.
