I completely understand the wisdom pastor Vlad is sharing here. However I am the one in my marriage from a very broken family. Dad committed suicide after a life of addiction and depression. Mom was married and divorced twice.
Im so thankful my husband chose me. And though I have baggage, I have been diligent in pursuing healing through Christ. A verse that has encouraged me as I walk away from generational sin is 1 Peter 1:18-19

Hearing this and coming from a broken, dysfunctional family. I feel discouraged and ashamed to even want someone to be part of it through me.

The toxic management of others, was SO normal... I didn't recognize it as a SERIOUS PROBLEM...
I escaped my family but I didn't know to avoid the gaslighting...
I'm 72, a woman living in my van, because I haven't been able to figure out how to walk,
A new path, and be ABLE to avoid being trapped...
The people who hire me, end up controlling gaslighters...
I'm trying to learn how...

True, but Christ can change the outcomes. The question is, do you want it changed, or do you prefer the family curse. Sometimes, we are blinded, and sometimes, our conscience is seared. The revelation of God and the Grace of God is our only answer.

Even though I love Vlad and his ministry and agree it's good to understand family dynamics, that's not the whole story.
I believe many of the disciples, if not all of them, had broken and unhealthy family patterns. And the reason the Bible doesn't tell us what their families were like is because it didn't matter - only Jesus could determine their destinies, not their families.
What we do see from the disciples is that they knew Jesus and were filled with the Holy Spirit after He went back to heaven, and they changed the world. We can do the same through Him!!
Are there past wounds to work through because of our families sometimes? Sure. But don't count yourself out because you come from a broken family.
1 John 3:1 says we are now children of God, so we now get HIS family dynamics. Verse 9 says HIS seed is inside of us.

I only partially agree , I definitely understand where Pastor Vlad is coming from & love most of his teachings.
However, we have to be very careful about taking âbulkâ advice because it doesnât apply for everyone.
Thank GOD a âbroken familyâ doesnât equal âbroken personâ
in a case where a person realizes thereâs an issue, takes it to JESUS, & actively works on healing and being made whole in CHRIST.
There is healing, wholeness , and restoration in LORD JESUS so we canât judge a person by where they came from.
Itâs definitely something to take into consideration, and I would watch for signs and clues, but I wouldnât exclude someone because of their family.

My family were doing wicked things and still is now that doesnât mean I have to be like any of my family , if my whole family is in lust that doesnât mean I have to be in lust , if my whole family is quick to anger that dosent mean I have to if my whole family marriage is broken that Dosent mean I have to be judging someone of there family is so wrong because I can say from my family I see do some very wicked things i choose to follow God so I find this video really hurtful , Only God knows not everyone is able to have a happy clean holy family ,and to think a child â is to be like there family is not freedom in Christ , If a man of God looked at my family he would decide not to date me , Why because my family is wicked , I choose to follow God I choose to be apart from my family , Even Jesus said his mother brother was those who do the will of God, judging someone of there family is not what God wants The apple donât fall to far from the tree is not for everyone , what If they had a mother who was a prostuite , a drug addict and a dad aslo living a bad life do the child have to take on the traits of wickedness ? I am unfortunately the one from the broken family, hoping in the Lord that my future husband and I will gain favor from the Lord for all future generations of our family.
