Its a regional thing.
Bacon egg and cheese is a northeastern staple and expression for the meal. The order of the words carries marketing weight.
Outside of the northeast the order of the words didnt carry that same weight, at least it didnt use to before the internet, but more than likely its just a jimmy dean separate facility outside of the northeast that makes these. So the order of the words dont matter to purchasers.
There are like 15 different names for a big mac depending on where you live in the world.
Youd be shocked what midwesterners call stuff. Ive moved around the US a lot and there are still significant differences in culture and its more than just Pop, Soda, Coke, etc.

As a regular eater of these things (the sausage, egg, cheese croissants from Jimmy Dean) they have absolutely changed the croissant. It used to be “airier” or flakier and now it’s much more dense and heavier. This is an indisputable fact for me and it’s just recently happened. The cheese also seems to be different but I’m not as certain of that as I am the croissant composition.
