Sword Training in the Snow ❄️🗡

I use the wall a lot in my training and when l work with my students. The wall fixes a lot of problems… crooked cartwheels, sloppy sword work, staff spinning, windmill arms. The weapon has to stay close to your body. If you’re crooked, you hit the wall… simple feedback loop.

My wushu teacher Li Jianlong had us training next to walls all the time. Before l met Li Laoshi, my drunken straightsword was so sloppy. Of course in drunken styles, you’re supposed to look a bit out of control, but the swordwork should still be pristine. Cool n clean n no caffeine.

Do you use the wall to help you in you trainings? Comment below 👇

Have fun in the snow or sun, wherever you are…

Soltura como la del dragon, la espada representa al dragón y el sable representa al tigre.
