You have to be joking China and Australia have built solar with backup. Tell that to Australia as they have shutdown their coal plants.

Hey people, this guy is lying to you. I have equipment installed so that the energy that my solar panels generates goes onto the grid and the electric company pays me for it every month. I don't have to store it.

how much did the water bros pay for this one

Why is energy storage so difficult? Are there any practical ways we are able to store energy currently?

nuclear. nuclear is the best and cleanest.

“You need generation capacity.” Bro a battery 😂

No single one of them is the magic bullet. You have to have solar, wind, tidal, wave, and nukes, then we can pare back the number of fossil fuel plants that have to come online to take up a lull in production from the other systems. No single one of them solves all the problems.

Battery chemistry is a huge problem, we need better battery chemistry with less exotic materials and higher energy density to make storage practical. We're not there, but that's why we have to keep pushing. We're not going to be off fossil fuels in the foreseeable future, but we'll never be off them if we don't push through this technological puberty that renewable energy is going through right now.

I literally have a battery that stores all my power.

It will take all forms of energy to be energy dependednt

So just build better storage capacity? For the amount of money we spend on fossil fuels, it should be easy to rig up a bunch of pumped hydro; or we could conduct further research into chemical power storage. There's a lot of options out there, man.

So what you're saving is we should double our efforts and think more magical thoughts

This is an example of why the Internet is dangerous. Storage capacity isn't prohibitively difficult and becomes much easier when done at scale in an infrastructure capacity.

The level of confidence with which this person consciously misinforms identifies him as a sociopath so you can never trust what he says.

As a Finn I can say hydro sucks for nature, large reservoirs, harder water travel and downfall of fish populations. Nuclear ftw

tbh go nuclear, with a nuclear power plant when we dont need as much power (like at night) you use it for hydrogen production, and start pushing hydrogen powered cars... but hay what do i know, im just a stupid furry

I'm sure someone said that about electricity when everyone was using candles.. 🤣 "oh yeah, nobody needs electricity because it's not reliable, we don't need it enough"...
This guys has been bought or is dum

Um....there's no reduction in capex..equipment

There's absolutely a reduction in how much fuel you burn lol wut? Try again
