Bison haven't stepped foot on this land in Badlands National Park since 1870. On October 11th, we celebrated the park opening up 22,000 acres of new bison range, something you, our supporters helped make possible. Almost 1,200 bison now have 80,000 acres to graze.

What good news!
By the way guys, did you know that in "Maderas del Carmen", Coahuila, a state of Mexico, bison were also introduced?
That's very good because until now there was only one natural protected area for bison in Mexico, specifically in Chihuahua (Janos).
We are making progress!.
I hope one day the bison will walk the great grasslands of North America again as they ever did!

It's a strong feeling if you try to put yourself in that moment. Thing of how much has been lost in the last 150 years, and here we are not only reversing an extinction but an especially symbolic extinction. Now it's like a symbol that things can come back from ruin, even after 150 years.
Imagine being involved in doing that

That's something special. I'd love to see them return to the midwest along with elk. We have a bison ranch not too far from us and they're beautiful animals.

How will they know how to hunt if they've been in captivity all their lives?
