In Austria they teach them slope safety too. F.e. not use the entire slope for yourself to make a turn :-P or stay on a practice slope until you feel safe enough.

That ain't ice, it's just very hard packed snow. Ice looks blue and your skis behave the same way as on a wide box in the park.
But, yeah it's a good explanation for hard ice-like slopes.

1. Like all the east coasters here, that's not ice.
2. If you're on real ice, FFS, do NOT put all your weight on your DH ski. Do that (if you must) on soft cord where there's no chance of loosing that edge. At most, you should be 60% on your DH ski. You loose that edge, you have another to keep you up.
