When I first placed the order, I didn’t think much about the zipper seal openings on the bags. It seemed small, even insignificant. But when the bags arrived, it turned into a big problem: the zipper seals weren’t open, which forced our team to spend valuable time prying each one open before packaging. This small oversight created a major bottleneck in our process.

Once we realized the impact, I had to make a choice: either we slowed down packaging to manually open each bag or we paid to have it fixed. In the end, I paid an extra 10 cents per bag to have the zippers opened after the fact. Multiply that by thousands of bags, and the costs added up quickly. It was an expensive mistake, but a valuable lesson in the importance of small details.

This experience taught me that when it comes to scaling a brand, attention to detail isn’t optional; it’s a necessity. Every decision matters, and making sure you’re clear on the small things can prevent big setbacks. Embrace the details, streamline your operations, and learn from each step in the process.
