Playing something you feel will never sound awful. Usually after a couple hours of playing I'll start creating sounds that don't make sense, but I always end up going back to it and shaping it up. The sound you got going on here is just unfinished. I can always hear the potential in guitar sounds and everything I've heard you play has potential to be a song, an outro, a backing track to a film or documentary, etc...nothing I've heard you play sounds awful. Just unfinished.👍
