Bro, most companies match your 401k contributions. So, your %s are way off. The company I own, we match 100% for an employee’s first 3% salary contribution and then 50% for the next 2%. So, that’s a 4% increase before investment.

The simplest and easiest move you can make now is to open a self-directed IRA.
I’m not sponsored to say any of this hence why I’m not giving recommendations on what companies to choose from.
But you can transfer your current funds from your 401K or Roth IRA to a self-directed account.
You can do it without paying fees or penalties.
Now you can invest your money into gold, crypto, private equity, real estate along with the usual stocks and bonds.
