26th January is celebrated as a national holiday in India and this day commemorates the historic sacrifices that led India to be a sovereign, independent nation. Every year on 26th January, the whole country comes together and annually celebrates

. This year, India will be marking its 73rd Republic Day. Educational institutions, organizations and businesses proudly host the Indian Flag to mark this day. A grand celebration that includes military parades, and hoisting of the national flag is held in Delhi, the national capital of India. The Prime Minister and President are present at this celebration. Stunts are also performed by the defence military forces and professionals who make it all a spectacular show.

Republic Day is celebrated on 26 January in India. The nation will on Sunday observe its 72nd Republic Day, the chief attraction of which, like every year, will be the grand Republic Day parade. The parade, which goes on for three hours, takes place at Rajpath in the national capital, marching all the way from the Rashtrapati Bhavan to India Gate, via Rajpath.

Republic Day Speech 2022: 73वें गणतंत्र दिवस की पूर्व संध्या पर राष्ट्रपति रामनाथ कोविंद (Ram Nath Kovind) ने देश को संबोधित किया और देश और विदेश में रहने वाले भारतीयों को बधाई दी. राष्ट्रपति ने कहा कि गणतंत्र दिवस का यह दिन उन महानायकों को याद करने का अवसर भी है, जिन्होंने स्वराज के सपने को साकार करने के लिए अतुलनीय साहस का परिचय दिया तथा उसके लिए देशवासियों में संघर्ष करने का उत्साह जगाया. उन्होंने कहा कि दो दिन पहले, 23 जनवरी को हम सभी देशवासियों ने जय-हिन्द’ का उद्घोष करने वाले नेताजी सुभाष चन्द्र बोस की 125वीं जयंती पर उनका पुण्य स्मरण किया है
