Correction if i may, if not here it is anyway. Jesus didn't support the church, what the church leaders "preached" and what Jesus "preached" were completely different. I also believe beyond a doubt the church leaders of today "preach" their old ways not what Jesus "preached". Jesus definitely gave us new commandments to live by. It wasn't untill 200 - 300 yrs later did a common place to practice openly arise.

The Body of Christ is still here because of the mystery. When the fullness of the Gentiles comes in, a Remnant of Israel will believe in Jesus. God knows the exact number of Gentiles and He knows the moment it will happen.
