Step 1: Pressure Cook Dalia
1 cup broken wheat (Dalia)
2 cups water
Salt to taste
Pressure cook Dalia in a cooker with 2 cups of water and salt until 3-4 whistles. Let the pressure release naturally.
Step 2: Sauté Veggies
2 tablespoons ghee
1 teaspoon jeera (cumin seeds)
1/2 teaspoon sarson (mustard seeds)
5-6 curry leaves
1 small onion, finely chopped
1 small tomato, diced
1 small ghiya (bottle gourd), peeled and diced
Chopped green coriander for garnish
Heat ghee in a pan over medium heat. Add jeera and sarson, let them sizzle for a few seconds. Add curry leaves and sauté for another second. Add chopped onion, diced tomato, and diced ghiya. Sauté until the veggies are tender.
Step 3: Combine Cooked Dalia and Veggies
Add the cooked Dalia to the sautéed veggies and mix well. Adjust salt and coriander seeds powder to taste.
Serve Hot
Garnish with chopped green coriander and serve hot.
