On November 15, 2023, Rip Michaels, a comedian on MTV's Wild 'N Out, was hospitalized after suffering a heart attack. He canceled a comedy show taping and shared a video on social media apologizing to those who purchased tickets to the live taping at Apollo. Michaels said his heart is only functioning at 17% and he is in CCU with a heart failure team.
